Okay, I just really need to air this out! My husbands sister has endo too, she had a hysterectomy because according to her this is the only 'cure'. When I first found out she had it, I was relieved, I had someone to talk to who could understand what I am going through! Wow, was I ever wrong! She never believes me when I say how much pain I really am in; she said I can't be since I work. I only work three days a week, and it sure isn't for the fun of it! We actually need the money! She tries to tell me that if I really were in that much pain, I would have a hysterectomy. Which she said she doesn't agree with, since the family expects us to have kids! She hasn't heard of half of the treatments out there for endo, but she is an expert at it, according to her!!! And when I try to tell her that a hysto isn't always going to work, well, it worked for her so it must work for everyone! OOOOHHHH, she really rubs me the wrong way!!!! I finally told her we had been trying for 4 years to have kids, I've been to fertility specialists and all. This is just to try and get her off my back. I don't talk to her much anymore, only when we have to. My husband isn't so happy with her (or anyone else in his family!) I guess I should be very thankful that my husband can fully understand my side of it, and feels the same way about her that I do! I just feel so intimidated by her, I fumble up all of my words and sound like a moron! She literally makes my head dizzy! Oh brother! And you know, she probably doesn't even know how frustrated I am with her 'cause I don't yell or scream, I try to talk civilly -I hate to make anyone feel bad. Ugh, she can really ruin my day. Well, maybe venting will help clear my head! Thank you for letting me get this all out! love Carmen :) in Alberta, Canada
