Re: Rant And RoarFrom: Zan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Jan 8 10:15:49 1999
Chrissy, Thanks for your concern. My parents had decided to go to see her. But they got the news before they left. The lump in her breast is cancer. Another one of my aunts fought the battle with Cancer and lost. She was 53 when she died. The family that used to live next door to us had a little boy named Kyle. When he was 2 he was diagnosed as having a brain tumor. He had many surgeries. His parents used to bring him home from the hospital on weekends and he would cry to go home which to him was the hospital. After he conpleted chemo and radiation treatment, the doctors did surgery to see if the cancer was still there. He was full of cancer. He died a few months later. The family had another ittle girl at the time, she was 5. They have since moved. Not that far away, but they had to move because no matter how many children they had, that room would always be Kyle's room. I am very close to that family and I know what they went thru. My heart goes out to you knowing that you are going thru the same thing. The family now has 2 more little boys, but they still keep a picture of Kyle up with the others. A picture of when he was happy and cancer free. I don't know what is going to happen with my aunt now. She may have to come in to where I live to get treatment for it. But I will keep you posted.
