Chrissy-- You have good instincts. Endo in more severe cases attacks the bowel by creating lesions, masses and adhesions. I've been there very recently. You need two specialists. The first needs to be an endo specialist, like an endocrinologist. The second needs to be trained in treating the bowel surgically. It's very important that the docs know what they are looking at. I've had trouble with my standard obgyn and internist misdiagnosing symptoms and leaving masses and lesions behind. Call the Endo Association in your area. They can recommend a qualified specialist. I would still be eating percocet if I had not called them. I had to undergo 3 surgeries last year. The last two where just to clean up what my gynecologist left behind. Good Luck!
