A second opinion? Definitely. If your current doctor is not a specialist on Endometriosis, find one who is. Use this site as a resource, I am sure someone will know of someone in your area.

Your feelings are definitely all normal. Ask questions. Delay treatment until you find a treatment you are comfortable with and one that your doctor has completely discussed and explained. Make sure you are very up front with your concerns for daily activities and migraines.

Personally, I hated the Lupron. The side effects were nasty. There is a medication that can be administered that helps to counteract the side effects by reintroducing a small amount of testosterone(?) into your system. Don't quote me on that, I am definitely not sure what it is or what it does but I am sure someone out there knows what I am talking about. I experienced moodiness, forgetfullness and hot flashes. YUCK

Good luck! Heidi hstanton@wsu.edu
