Toni, Yes having a blockage can be a serious thing and that is what they are looking for..There are a few different test that can be done the barium,Ct scan..which is the one I just a few weeks ago..and my gosh that drink is aweful..I hate lemon and lime so made it worse..I have had a couple of those done.they were also looking to see if they could see any adhesions,but I know from experience before they said oh doesn't look like too many what they saw on the xray..open me up and was oh my gosh the xray didn't show this that and other thing.. One thing that did strike me funny when i went for my Ct scan was the dr looked at my xrays came back and said wow you don't have many parts left do you..LOl..uh huh..thats why I am here pal:}..
