Chris- Thank you so much for your response! There are a few things I want to add on to- Your first question- How do I know the pain is adhesions and not endo...I AM GUESSING (which on some level is what we're all doing!)... The pulling is very much located where the right ovary used to be, and it's a very consistant kind of pain (rather than a growing pain---it also doesn't seem to be cyclical at all...). It also responds a bit to the weather (doesn't like rainy days) and it does like gentle excersize (no jogging, but rather walking/ hiking- anything that gradually stretches it). That's cool.

For me it's only been 1 year since the first (AWFUL!) surgery and 8 months since the second- the Laporoscopy in which the endo/cyst/and ovary were removed. So in terms of monitering the pain, I am trying to pay attention to the quality of the pain...and again, it's a pretty consistant sensation (familiar). And in all of my post op exams, my gyn tells me that the area feels fine- no new obvious growth (masses) that can be detected. THe organs are moving far more freely than before surgery.

And i also thank you for the feedback on dthe issue of adhesion surgery- OK- if there are no problems (bowels & bladder doin' just fine!), then leave it alone, and live with the "mellow pain"- that was good info to get.

BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING ELSE YOU MENTIONED THAT BLEW MY MIND!A You mentioned that the first surgeon who operated should have known that endmetriomas don't respond to Lupron! THIS SURGEON WAS SUCH AN IDIOT! I also broke out in an allergice reaction to Lupron- hives from the top of my head to the bottom of my toes- SEVERE HIVES- and, accodring to the research in the Endo Resource Book (By The Endo Association), hives can become internal and kill you, so you can not take further Lupron shots. So here I am - hives from head to toe, the cyst growing back, and this woman is endorsing taking Lupron to 18 months! Some of the women in my Endo support group were mentioning that I should consider suing her for such sloppy work, but I shy away from the idea---yet you've just given me more fuel for the fire ---UNBELIEVABLE! Well thanks for the response and the feedback! Hopefully my "adhesion" pullings will remain mellow! Take care Susan
