ADHESIONS

I have been reading alot of posts about adhesions and see that alot of us struggle to get help from doctors that they know it is not going to help us, you get so tired of hearing there are no guarantees, and I understand all of this, but how can they help someone with a bad heart, or people who are really sick, but there is nothing or no one out there that can help us. This is why I am getting so down, to undergo 2 laparotomies in 5 months and feel worse is enough to pull anyone down, I was looking so forward to feeling good again, I have a sister with crohns who does not understand that I am in pain all the time and she has been through HELL for years, permanent colostomy done a year ago, and she feels better than I do! I cannot explain this, but my dr told me that any one who ha ssurgery has adheisons, but depending on where they are and what they stick to the way I understand it, is where the pain is from. The last general surgeon I saw last week told me that adhesions DO NOT cause pain, he is crazy, I see a gastro dr the very next day, and he read my op report, and he said the gyn. had to operate, the bowels were a MESS! I am so soick of all the drs sayiong something different, I know that my gyn does not know what to do fo me anymore, but he understands me, and what I am going through, 4 weeks ago, I begged him not to send me to no more drs. I want him to take care of me, he said he would do my next lap when I was ready, but I am fearful to do anymore surgery, not right now, but I am tired of the pain, WHAT ARE WE TO DO!!???

thanks for listening AGAIN! Toni
