Allison, I just read your post about the sinus infection and having the lap. In september I had my left ovary and tube removed. the weekend before I woke up with a major sore throat and ear ache and cough and sinus pressure. On monday I went to work (i work at a family practice) and saw a doctor there and he said that i had an upper respiratory infection and gave me claritan D and told me to use my nasal inhaler again. I felt much better the next day for surgery but I was still barking. the doctor said that he felt I could have surgery since it wasn't bacterial. He wrote a note to my doctor just in case and he told me to call my doctor. I spoke with the medical assistant and she said it should be fine. the next morning I saw my gyn before the surgery and he chuckled about the upper resp. infection and he said that it wasnt' a problem. Maybe you should just check with the surgeon and your PCP. You should be okay though I would think.

Happy holidays and good luck with your Lap next week!
