Re: 3rd general surgeonFrom: kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Dec 22 21:27:27 1998
Hi, Well as someone who suffer's from massive amounts of adhesions can clearly say they hurt like he**...Or i guess the demerol that i have been on 3 years is just in my head too. Some dr's really irk me.. Yes a good 60 percent of people have adhesions,Not all people are in pain from adhesions, depends on how many they have, where they are located, how many surgeries they have the list is endless.so its a shame that he is trying to catagorize all adhesions, you can have adhesions in any part of your body, but if you have abdominal adhesions those can be far worse because organs are now sticking to one another and every little movement is going to cause those adhesions to pull and tuck..I have been knocked clear to the floor screaming in pain from adhesions..oh give me 5 min with this doctor.. Yes some of the barrier's they have used before do not help with adhesions,I have had several barrier's done but I found out they were probably saline solutions which probably didn't help at all.. I am currently in the process of having the nerves in my abdomin cut,to try and bring me some relief to adhesions.. Think you need to find another doctor, this one is surely not one you want on your side..I don't blame you for being upset.I wasn't even his patient and I got upset..
