Hi Robin,

I think you should tell the hospital that lack of consideration is simply unacceptable! What is so difficult about asking visitors to step out of the room for a minute?! It doesn't matter that it was a few weeks ago now, go ahead and call them about it. I think it's outrageous!

Nothing like that happened to me in the hospital, so I don't think that type of behavior is standard hospital operating procedure. At my hospital they were always careful to make sure that there was no one in the room when checking my incision or anything like that. Even when it was my husband, they asked if I wanted him to leave the room, but I wanted him to stay with me. I am so sorry you had to go through that!
