The medication that you were given maybe called Elavil. It is an antidepressent and it is also used to treat chronic pain/ headaches, etc. I was on it for chronic headaches. I had to stop taking it because it made me very very tired. You take the pill at bedtime but in the morning I was still very tired. Maybe you will have better luck than I did.
