denise mondry, hey.my hysterectomy was on the 5th. and i was released the 8th.they were only going to keep me 23 hours but because i had a temp of 103 from a kidney infection and pain control they kept me 4 days.most everything was taken out right ovary, fallopian tube, cervix and uterus.they did it by laparascope assisted vaginal hysterectomy.is yours possibly abdominal or are they doing vaginal.they wanted me up to go to the bathroom right after surgery.also my pain control was an issue.they started me on a morphine pump that made me sick, then something else that didnt help.finally i insisted on demerol and i felt better so i went home.well things arent great at home.i have 2 young kids so i was trying to be supermom and overdid myself, almost ending up back in the hospital.but my dr.(who is the best in atlanta)sent me home with demerol pills and xanax for stress and an antibiotic.and so far so good.i have a feeling though my left side will have to be removed in the future.but until then i am being positive.please e-mail me if you have questions.i will be supportive just like my endo sisters have been to me. ann barber
