Cassandra, Pain and needing a lot of sleep are typical of endo, and your body trying to fight the pain. It is a natural reaction when you are in pain all the time to feel depressed! But why treat the depression - treat the pain that is causing it!! It is possible that anti depressants may help, but they will not eliminate the pain, so the Dr needs to continue to try to get to the root of the problem. I have not tried anti-depressants, although I was thinking about it, then my last surgery improved things a lot. Regards, caroline
