Re: Cherri and Heather Wondering if...From: yenta (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Nov 30 19:18:01 1998
Heather Why won't your gyn do a lap Cherri I've already had a lap last year and am now scheduled for a lap very shortly. I was all gung-ho until the last couple of weeks. Now I'm having serious doubts. I'm starting to think along the same lines as your dr. I'm afraid that there will always be another lap. I've been discussing my doubts with a fellow endo sis. Maybe I can live with this stuff a little longer. I don't know. Before my first lap my pain was limited to the pelvic region only. After my lap, the pain included the pelvic region, the lower back, abdominal problems, etc.. They say it all depends on the quality of the surgeon. But Cherri, if you have endo, and want another lap, make sure you get a great laparascopic surgeon who specializes in endo. Did you read our references of great web sites which inform you of endo, ovarian cysts, etc.? I know of a couple of them, and also have a list from one of our endo sisters. Check out http://www.womenssurgerygroup.com or Dr. Glenn Bradley's website or http://www.laparoscopy.com for more information. If you would like i can try to email/forward the list which one of the endo sisters sent me. good luck
