Re: Daypro and side effectsFrom: Randi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Nov 30 14:38:35 1998
Hello Denise! I didnt have any spotting when I took DayPro. It has been since May 1997 that I took any bcp..to treat insufficient levels of progesterone(nonstop periods). I was finaly dx'ed with endo in August via laproscopy. I am guessing that I have had the endo since I was 14 and the hormonal problems started..and it was just now found. I have foudn that each time I tried bcps(and have done just about every strength of them on the 'chart') that I developed averse physical side effects as well as it exacerbating the effects of my Learning Disabilities & Attention Deficit Disorder. The gyn that did the lap wanted to then follow up with the Depot Lupron, but I didnt have the chance to throughly discuss it wiht him and then moved from L.A to Northern Ca right after the surgery. The IBD symptoms did not go away after the surgery..and I had tested negative for IBD that same week as the laproscopy..I am waiting for an appt with a specialist at Stanford in a few weeks to see what he thinks about the endo being in the bowels and what the treatment plan should be next. My local drs (GP, GYN GI) feel that this case is too complex for them..and the GP & GYN agreed that I should see a specialist at the Womens Clinic at Stanford.(which luckilyfor me is not very far away). I wish I had some answers for you on the spotting.
