Dear Debbie, Let's see... my doc told me not to do anything around the house except to take care of my own basic needs for at least the first full two weeks. I remember I actually felt well enough to tidy up a bit (very carefully) before the two weeks were up. By my post-op at two weeks I was feeling pretty good and got the OK to drive, but still no heavy lifting. I started _really light_ workouts (easy levels on exercise bike and stepper, no pushups or abs) at about 3-1/2 weeks post surgery. I still got tired easily and noticed I always felt better the next day if I'd had a nap (or at least a lie-down) in the afternoon the day before. By the sixth week I felt pretty normal, and much better than what "normal" was with endo, that's for sure!!! I had to laugh because someone reminded me today what it was like to sneeze during the first couple of weeks after surgery. OUCH!!! I can honestly say that was the worst pain I had after coming home from the hospital. I don't usually stifle sneezes, but I was sure trying hard to squelch them then. Hope this helps -- you are more than welcome to e-mail me too!
-- Franca
