Re: ??? about primrose oilFrom: Jean (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Nov 29 20:18:50 1998
Hi Deanna: Evening primrose oil comes from the evening primrose plant (the seeds, I think?) - that's about all I can tell you exactly. You can purchase bottles of oil filled capsules (like cod liver oil capsules) at health food stores - and here where I come from you can buy different brands at the drug stores, and the pharmacists are very helpful. I've read that you should always buy herbs that have the words "standardized extract" printed on the label. Evening primrose oil is used for treatment of pms and other menstrual symptoms. Just follow label instructions. That's about all the info I can pass along. Anyone else care to add some info? Be well, Jean
