Re: I'm VERY, VERY upset...

If a couple wants a baby, I would say to have it. My husband and I had our baby before we were "finincially stable" and we were very glad we did, because I got very sick when she was about a year old. We didn't want a baby because I was sick, but because we wanted one. I wanted a baby then, but I wouldn't have wanted a baby later feeling so bad.

I had terrible back pain too, and have it off and on. It doesn't necessarily have to be at my period or at the middle of the month, and I thought it was because I have big hips, but when I stopped drinking coffee, either regular or decaffeinated, it really helped. So, I thought it was a simple allergy. But I knew it had something to do with my colon. This year I found out that I had a bad adhesion on my left side involving the colon among other organs, and now, after the laparoscopy, I have that back pain again. I think my colon is still angry about the operation, and might need more time. My daughter reminded me that it takes time to recover. I hope that is the case. If there are more adhesions, it isn't the doctor's fault, because he is a very careful specialist, but I also have a tendency to get skin problems such as callouses that won't go away, excema which causes my hair to stick together and mat, etc. Such problems are peculiar to me, and it would take a combination of a gyn and a membrane specialist (get the best dermatologists together with the gyns?) to figure out this bod. When I was a kid a dermatologist took pictures of my fingers for his Princeton textbook!

Anyway, as I said before, whether or not you are in NYC, please write to the station at the address Dorothy gives and leave your 2 cents. I already did that. I still want to know if there are any script writers out there... Although I don't imagine a "Philadelphia Story" or "Lorenzo's Oil" about endo would grab people the same way as a terminal disease does. But a good script writer could overcome all that. Elizabeth
