ADHESIONS.....2ND OPINION DR.!!!!!!From: Toni (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Nov 24 12:34:32 1998
I ahve been bother all of you on here, I went to see a gyn. today that specializes in pelvic pain. He siad that we are the most frustrating patients they have to deal with, because the morethey try to help us, the worse things get. He read my op reports and looked at me, he said you are a mess, he sid that he comends my dr. on the good job on 2 very difficult surgries he performed on me, he also said that I may want to read my reports sometime, he said it was a real complicating ordeal. He said the gyn I had to do the surgery did a fantastic job, but that the surgery was so detailed, and the last ovary was so stuck to everything with adhesions, that there has been women who just a very minute piece of ovary will stick to the wall, and it regenerates its self, can cause severe pain, but I will have to have ultrasound to check this, and see if my gyn will stop the estrogen for couple weeks and see if body produces any estrgen. He also said tht I will probably have to see geberal surgeon, he has helped alot of his patients, but not to rule out that there may be another surgery down the road. He said he is sure there are adhesions on the wall and bowels, and probably the urethra, this will definitely all cause pain, he said the pain is REAL, I was beginning to think I was crazy> Happy Thanksgiving to all Toni Welsh

I am contemplating more surgery now due to this same trouble,
I had pelvic pain and leg pain too! I went in and the dr.
did a lap. but told my husband when he got in there he can
not see my last ovary, he did a laparotomy, untwisted the
bowel, was full of adhesions, and removed last ovary, it was
stuck to abdominal wall, he said he had to literally pull it
off, I had no pain for 3 weeks, GREAT!!! But after 4 weeks
the pain was back worse than before the surgery, I can not
stand it, I called him yesterday to go thru another lap.
He said that is all he could do, abd hopefully the laser would
help the adhesions not grow back, but it is interfering in my life.
There are times when I cannot even get up, or sit or bend.
The pain is awful, but it is in lower pelvic area where my
bowel he straightened, is and goes down to my legs. I am
looking for HELP!!!!! Can not stand the pain!
