To Robin - Good luck on your surgeryFrom: Jean (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Nov 22 06:30:24 1998
Hi Robin: Just wanted to say Good Luck and hope that everything goes okay on Monday (and I am sure it will!). I know you realize that not all surgery is 100%, but please be assured that the vast majority of hysts have a positive outcome. Guess what I am saying is try to be a "glass is half full" person, not the other way around, LOL! You have abviously put a lot of thought and energy into making this decision, so now is the time to pull all your positive energy together and think ONLY about how good it will be to get rid of the chronic pain (I know - easier said than done!). I suffered terribly before my TAH/BSO l-l/2 years ago (Endo, Stage IV), and I have to say once more that I feel better today at age 43 than I did even at age 35. Even post surgical pain, for me, did not come close to the endo pain I was going through. It hurt, yes, but it was different. And it got better and better each day. It takes awhile to get back on your feet, but each day you should see an improvement. I just wanted to give you a positive story to think about - try to stay positive, and all the best to you. Be well, Jean
