Hi all, I was curious if anyone knows about getting social security income for the disability of endo. I am about to get out of the US Coast Guard. I missed anywhere from 50-70 days of work (NO JOKE!) in less than 1 year (this past year). At this rate of missing work, I will not be able to hold down a job. I am scared of what will happen financially. So, I am exploring all my options. If you have had any experience filing a disability claim for endo with the social security admininstration...I sure would appreciate any info you can give me on your experiences. I talked to the SSA today and got a VERY brief run down. The guy that I talked to was amazed about endo. Just this past year he has learned all about it. He said 5 years ago, he didn't know what it was. So many women have claimed endo as a disability. So, he sounded understanding about the endo and the disabling affects of the disease. So, that gave me hope. I would cherish any info you may have.
