Hi All !!

I'm fairly new to the forum and would like to give my input on the Endometriosis Care Center in Atlanta. I just had an exploratory lap, a pre- sacral neurectomy and an appendectomy done by Dr. Tom Lyons at the ECC. My surgery was August 19, 1998 and here it is August 31 and I've been back at work for a week. Maybe it's all in my head, but I feel 100% better. I have been unable to get pregnant and that was the main reason for my surgery. My left tube was blocked and was sticking to my left ovary due to massive adhesions of Endo. I go back for a two week post-op visit on September 2 and I really think Dr. Lyons will tell me I can get pregnant. You see, I've had four laps in past five years and apparently the technique these other physicians were using, was not helping with the endo, but making it worse. It is my understanding from Dr. Lyons that the only wat to get rid of Endo is to excise it, meaning CUT it all out as opposed to "coagulation" or solely vaporization.

I've lost five pounds since surgery and I know that's because of all the swelling and bloating I've experienced with Endo. I was married when I found out I had endo, but I'm now divorced, but that's not going to stop me from having a baby. I'm only 30 years old and I so desparately want a child of my own.

If I can answer any questions that any of you may have about the ECC and Dr. Lyons, you can E-mail me at thomaswing@aol.com (Kelly Tucker).

Keep your chins up everyone. There is hope for all !!!

Kelly Tucker
