Re: Teenagers and LupronFrom: Tami (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Aug 31 06:33:23 1998
Mandy, I'm so glad I've found a teen with endo. (not that I'm glad that you have endo :-( ) The reason being is that I have a friend that is about your age and she just found out that she has endo. She's had a lap. and now the doctor wants to put her on Lupron. This scares me, because of her age and also because I didn't have that great of an experience with Lupron myself. I'd love to get the two of you together, just to share your experiences. Could I possible have your e-mail address to give to her? I know she would really appreciate it. You can e-mail it to me directly. Mine is goodtam@emu.edu I hope you're doing okay. Have a great day!! --Tami -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Behalf Of anonymous@obgyn.net Sent: Saturday, August 29, 1998 8:04 PM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: Re: Teenagers and Lupron I am a teenager and I have endo I was diagnosed when I was 16. I am 17 now. I had been having symptoms since I was 14 but my mother didn't take them seriously. Finally she was told that I needed to go to the doctor. I went and now I have had 2 surgeries in 8 months but I feel better now than I have in a long time. I too was on Lupron for 6 months, in between those eight, and it was hell on my body and I hated it, but my doctor said that it help clear up most of the endo so she could laser the rest out. I had stage IV endo. Although she did say that because the endo was so bad in the beginning I was going to have to have the surgery (LAP) again. Well just wanted to share this with you all and I hope you all are doing well. Hugs, Mandy
