Do not be dicouraged. Shortly after my first lap (3/98), the period that followed was EXCRUCIATING! I experienced very painful symptoms that I never had before and I too questioned whether it was worth it. It hurt to sit down and stand up. But, after a few cycles, I am now pain free. I think you just have to wait it out. It probably takes awhile for everything to heal. Good luck :o)!
