Re: UltramFrom: Chandra (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Aug 30 12:20:10 1998
J. Pain is not a part of life. If that were the case, every person in the world would be walking around in pain and thinking nothing of it. Not true. If you're hurting, that's not normal, and something has to be done. Always remember that there may be other alternatives to soothing pain other than narcotics. Any drug addict would love my medicine cabinet, I have everything from Codeine to Darvocet, to Percocet, to Anaprox, to Naproxen. Honey, I have it all, but I don't take it unless my alternatives fail. Do your research and you'll be surprised at what a natural approach can do for your overall well being. God Bless and Pain Free! I told my Dr. I was hurting and he said this was non-narcotic and he took it himself when he had aches and pains. I LOVED it! It made the pain go away and didn't make me feel the way codeine did, although I like the way codeine makes me feel. Anyway, I've often thought of calling for a refill to make my endo pain go away, but always chicken out. I'm one of those people who was raised to believe that pain is a part of life and if you complain you're a big baby. Speaking of babies, that's why I can't have any. I wasn't dx'd with endo until I was 30 and after 3 years of Pergonal/Metrodin gave up. (I was told to get a hobby to take my mind off my "cramps" until I couldn't get pregnant.) Anyway, I was on Zoladex for 6 months, and had tons of aches and pains. I didn't take anything for it because it was nothing compared to the endo pain (remember the "big baby" syndrome). I clenched my teeth getting out of the car - I couldn't lay down to sleep - I walked like a 90-year-old woman. I'm thankful you shared your Ultram info. I still have the note on my desk to call to get a refill. Now I realize it's better not to.
