Hi everyone, I've read many of your messages and it's really comforting to know that I'm not alone. You ladies sound like a very intelligent, well-informed, warm and supporting bunch. I'm 33 years old and my endo was discovered at surgery for removal of a fibroid, 4 years ago. There was just "a little" at the time. However, after trying with my husband, Greg, to get pregnant for the past year, they sent me for a lap. My friend had a lap in mid-June and after zapping a little endo they found, she was out of there in 45 minutes and she was on her feet and back to work in 3 days. Me? I had the lap last Monday, and 6 days later (the week off work) am only now starting to feel sub-human. Mind you, I was in surgery for nearly 3 hours while they zapped what is now "quite a bit" of endo and some previous scar tissue that was lying funny and making my uterus wonky. My surgeon's comments to my husband Greg and my Mom were "she is now anatomically correct". What a relief? The good news is that my tubes were clear, although there is a little endo on one of them that they couldn't zap because it would clog up my tube. So, they left it there. Anyone know if this could contribute to ectopical pregnancy? Or am I being paranoid? I'm lucky not to experience any real endo symptoms, even though I apparently have "quite a bit" but about a year ago, I started to experience a weird dull ache on the left side of my vagina. I had it checked-out a couple of times, however, nothing could be found. Before my lap last monday, I asked the surgeon to check it out. She said afterwards that my endo was down quite low and this is what could have been causing that sensation. Also, recently on and off I've been experiencing pain in my rear end when I sit down. I have it for about a week and then it goes away. I usually get it after being constipated for a couple of days or after straining too much to go to have a bowel movement. My doctor gave me a rectal exam, but at the time it wasn't acting up and he couldn't find anything. He wants me to go back next time it acts up, for a possible scope (joy, o' bliss - had one of those before!). Could this be part of my endo symptoms? Wouldn't they have seen this in my lap and took it the heck outta there? Any ideas?
