Chandra:

I had my pre-op visit yesterday. I'm scheduled for my third lap on Monday. During my visit we discussed Lupron. I've been on Lupron for the last 6 months and I hate it. So for the record, I told him that I never wanted to be on it again. His disappointing answer was that if I ever wanted to conceive, I'd have to go on Lupron again. There's got to be another way. I'm still doing a lot of research on this so that I can make an intelligent decision. Let me know what other options your doctor comes up with.

I am 14 days post-op laparoscopy. I am somewhat pain free. This is the first time during ovualtion that I have experienced some pain, but the problems that I was having with my bowels because of Endo have diminished.

On September 9th, I have a treatment consultation with my OB-GYN to discuss my options. He is in favor of Lupron (I'm not), the only other option that he has named so far are BCPs. He will have other options by the time my consultation with him comes around.

All,

I am scheduled to see an OB Gyn on Monday who specializes in endo. I don't know what is going on with my right ovary but it feels like it has grown claws and is trying to rip its way out, so I can only imagine it is trying its hand at being a cyst factory again. I expect I'll be having surgery again, just hope it earns its moneys worth this time. Will let you know what happens.

I have a friend at work who has had her tubes tied and now wants to get prengant again. I told her as long as she still has overies and a uterus she should be able to get pregnant through IVF. Is this correct?

Regards, Caroline
