Re: National Lupron Victims networkFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed Aug 26 09:49:47 1998
hello, I wanted to thank you for your .02. I think that it's important that women know and understand that each of us will react to lupron differntly. i am currently on my second six month period of lupron. Yes I get hot flashes and my hair seems to be thining out but, those are the only problems I have had with the drug. The drug has given me a whole new life. I don't have to go to the emergency room every month for pain control. My pain meds have been reduced by half. Sure I am also a bit more moody usual but, heck....big deal. I try to remember that I'm crying over nothing at all because my body is doing the freak. And I have also found that the extra crying is a good way for me to release all those years of being told my pain is in my head, you're just over recacting....it couldn't possibly hurt that much....etc. etc. you all know...you have probaly heard it before too. I just want to say that as a woman who has had endo pain for 17 yrs....LUPRON...has been a life saver for me. I am sorry if it has not helped other women. But if you have endo, I would reccomend at least trying it. It might help. best wishes, Kara
