Re: Danazol freeFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu Aug 20 17:12:46 1998
I have a question for you all. My doctor discovered a couple of weeks ago that the lupron wasn't working anymore. I have had more injections than anyone I know of. I had 32. Anyway, I was put back on danazol. In June, I was on the lupron and the raloxifene and the danazol. I had severe hot flashes but that was about it. I still had the severe pain but now I am only on the danazol. I take 200 mg twice a day. I guess that is a low dose considering they give 800 mg per day usually. I haven't had the hot flashes or anything. I don't think I have gained any weight either. I was told that the lupron replaced the danazol and if the lupron isn't working for me (I have levels of estrogen in me and considering the drugs I was on for hormone suppression, I should have no estrogen), than how in the world will the danazol work? I understand how many of you feel about my getting so many lupron injections but we are stuck. This is not why I am writing. I would like to know more about the danazol. Is half of the usual dose given likely to work? Thanks for listening. Jenn medterms@watchic.net
