Hi everybody, I've found some additional information about HIPAA, which I talked about in my last posting (Health Insurance and Pre-Existing Conditions). I was wrong about being able to have less than six months gap in credible coverage - it's actually 63 days, in most cases. It was the in most cases part where I got confused! I found a great web site for specific information: http://www.dol.gov/dol/pwba This is the Department of Labor - Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration web page. Click on "Consumer Information on Health Benefit Plans" and you can find lots of great info. Also, it provides links to State Insurance Departments - very useful information. I think I forgot to mention before that you can make complaints to your State Insurance Commission if you're having problems with your health insurance. Hope this helps!
