Dear Pamela,

It was so GOOD to read your message. So many people think that seeking the help of a psychologist is the equivalent to a whole basket full of bad connotations. They fear to admit that they need help sorting things out. I felt that way for years. I now realize that seeing the group of psychs I did brought me the ability to be able to express myself without guilt. And, because I got to do that, I didn't need to express my pain, loneliness, fear, low self-esteem, ugliness, "sick and tired of being sick and tired" and other issues as much with the people I loved as much or as often, which was a BIG relief to them.

Have you ever noticed that normal and well people have trouble dealing with the pain and suffering of others? I think that is normal; they feel helpless to help us... and it frustrates them. I now just gently remind those loved ones from time to time that I'm not well, and they have a better time of giving me that moment to express my sadness or anger or whatever... without the need to go on and on about it. With my shrink taking the brunt of my troubles and needs to express them, I don't need to rely on my friends and family as much. This has made is easier for those people to support me much more lovingly now.

More importantly, my faith in God has been what keeps me alive. Without Him my life would probably not be, due to the hopelessness I would feel without His presence. He has brought me peace and the ability to cope. I offer this as personal testimony to others who do believe in a Holy Creator... turn to your Heavenly Father, for he is an awesome comfort in this unpredictable world.

Sunshine from a heart who loves the Son of God, Lorianne

Sarah:

Absolutely you should see a physician to help you deal with this. I started seeing a psychologist approximately 4 years ago, just to deal with the mental issues of having this disease and all the complications it brings to my life. I have been going off and on ever since. A good psychologist can help you work through the psychological, mental and emotional aspects of this disease and all the complications that it brings. <sniped text to shorten>

Don't give up, a good psychologist can and will help you through this. Don't forget the best psychologist in the world GOD, he works wonders. Between finding a Dr. Psychologist and GOD you will achieve mental and emotional relief.

God Bless You All!!

Pamela
