Julie,

Demulen is a brand of birthcontrol pills and they use it to stop bleeding spells sometimes. I was on it for almost 6 months after being on depo provera shots for a year. I was lucky to have one week out of the month that I did not bleed. That is how bad it got. The doctor put me on demulen (constant doses meaning no period at all. Instead of having a period after 21 days of being on the pill you start the next packet and don't take the placebos). It stopped my period in about a week or so. After 6 months of that I went back to taking the reagular dosage of pills and have a normal period. Hope this was helpful,,
