yes, I felt like I was going to lose my mind. normally, I am a very organized, in control person. Finally, i talked to a clinical psychologist who specializes in pain management. he happened to be a co-lecturer that I saw once each year. i didn't realized just how much the endo was affecting my life. i also went to a wonderful doctor back in the 70s who did not know I had endo (nor did I) but I had awful bowel problems that were exacerbated by stress at work. he helped me work through my need to be perfect and to become very self-assured. you need someone (not necessarily a doc) to reinforce your self-esteem, help you manage whatever factors that make your endo worse. it is NOT easy. this forum may help. reading on the subject helped me. i searched for physicians and colleagues or anyone who would listen. my mother is 78 and had all of my same symptoms, so I am sure she has endo. she has always been very supportive.
