dear roberta,

i just wanted to let you know that i have tried and am on zoloft for depression, depression that is mainly caused by the pain that i have lived with and do live with. it has recently recgonized that chronic pain, depression and addiction all run on the same neural pathways. therefore, often anitdepressents are used to help treat chronic pain. i have also found a huge difference in my moods and level of pain. i do think that taking zoloft does help a bit. however, i still take some pretty seriouse pain medication when i have "flare ups"....seems like an understatement but that's what "they" call it. i would recommend trying it to those who have depression from chronic pain. in my humble opinion i think it helps. take care, kara
