Mel, Some doctors are just unbelievable quacks. For almost 5 years I have heard almost everything from it's all in my head to PID, to IBS, to kidney stones to kidney infections. I was starting to think that I was a hypocondriac. Finally, I came across a doctor that diagnosed me as soon as I stepped into his office. After several attempts with pain killers, I underwent an operative laparoscopy to burn the Endo using a laser and to remove adhesions. I will begin Lupron therapy next week. Everything that you are going through, I have been through for five years...the painful intercourse and the whole nine. The one thing that got me through was a lot of meditation and time to myself. Sometimes all I would do would make some hot tea, take a shower and sit in a bath robe and drink my tea and cry. Sometimes I would cry for hours. If my husband came home and saw the door was closed, he knew not to interrupt especially if he heard my crying. That was the only thing that could get me through it. As of yesterday, I'm a bit more optimistic because of my surgery. The worst is over. I can start treatment and hope to begin a new life. Good luck to you, Mel. Write me anytime. My doctor didnt even tell me that endo caused all of these symptoms I have been having for years... I thought it was all in my head, the headaches, vomiting, depression, painful sex... I have it all.... I lost my job about a month ago and finally now am trying to move on with another job.... I have no stability in my life since I had this disease, I never know when I am going to feel sick or exhausted...its horrible and very hard when nobody else understands... thats why we have this board to help us get through this.. email me anytime if u need to vent Melanie
