If you call (800)535-4177 they will send a free packet. It does contain advertising for the institute but also comes with some great info about surgical techniques for endo. I got a book "The Guide to Womens Health". Haven't read it yet - just skimmed over, but it looks good and has a great appendix of terms. 3 videos: 1 is called "One on one with Dr Cook" - commercial, poor quality, not worth watching. the 2nd is "Inside the sexes" and shows a man having surgery to re-route an artery for penile disfunction, a lap surgery for endo (with really good detail of what it looks like to the Dr), the stages of fetus growth and a bit on AIDS which would be a great teaching tool for kids. Most of it is not for the faint-hearted (my husband won't watch it because he's squeamish about surgeries but I though it was fascinating) the 3rd video is "Laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis" and goes into some details about the different types of lasers and shows very detailed film of surgery from the Drs point of view. I figure its free, educational (especially to show family and concerned friends) and worth a look. This group has helped me SO much and I want to thank you all for being here!! Caroline E.
