Re: 18 days of bleedingFrom: Christine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Aug 1 23:37:16 1998
Di, I will share with you. After 9 weeks of bleeding I was hospitalized with animeia and low platlet count. I required two transfusions to stablize my homeostatsis and avoid death. If you continue to bleed substancially, see your physician. Due to our disease, and the responses from the ill informed folks around us, we tend to wait too long. Pathologies (disease) manifest into acute episodes because we wait, and wait, and wait some more. So call me a PIYA (pain in your ass) but if I wait it could be too late! That is what the physicians job is, service delivery - he gets paid and you should find satisfaction with the product of your labor. This reaction was a result of Depo provera to cease the menses. It worked but, when I started again 5 months later, I almost didn't stop. I came real close. The situation even scared ME! Hoping your situation improves soon! Chris
