Dear Di, Be very thankful that your doctor did not remove any endo that she felt was beyond her skill level. I had a friend in New Orleans that had endo excised from her bowel by a surgeon who did not have the skill level and she ended up with peritonitis and another emergency surgery which resulted in a temp. colostomy and an additional surgery to reconnect her bowel months later. she still then had to have one more surgery because her bowel "bottlenecked". All because her surgeon was not experienced enough. (They did settle out of court). I would rather have a surgeon close me up and admit they weren't comfortable than have a disaster happen like my friend. I have had surgery with success, but I spent a year looking and researching who the experts were. Dr. Nezhat in Atlanta did mine and I have been fine ever since. I know it is frustrating because so many ob/gyns say they treat endo, but unless they SPECIALIZE and spend an enormous amount of time with it, I would not go to them. I dont want to go on and on. I fyou want more info about my situation, just reply. Sincerely, Jeannette
