First off, CONGRATS!!!

I am also a success after excision pregnancy.  I am currently 21 weeks pregnant.  My best advise, Stay positive! We are having a healthy baby boy and things have progressed fine with me.

As far as pregnancy goes, mine has been interesting.  First off, I would tell you to have the doctor check your progesterone levels ASAP.  If you haven't had those done yet and you were already in for your first appointment, ask them to check it.  It is very common in endo patients to have progesterone issues.  I took a progesterone supplement my first 10 weeks as a precaution to prevent issues.

You will probably notice your first couple months some cramping.  It is alot of times things stretching out and your endo shutting down.  If you didn't recently have surgery you may have some pain from a few adhesions.  This is normal for an endo person.  But the good news is it goes away after the 1st trimester.

The only other issues I have had is alot of nausea the entire pregnancy (non endo related) and you have a high possibility of having a tilted uterus, which most endo patients have.  This usually does not cause issues, but it may take a little se etimes to get the heartbeat.  Don't stress, thats normal with the tilt.

I can't tell you how the birth will be, but I know that my doctor is trying everything possible to avoid a c-section with me because of the endo.  C-sections cause worse adhesions and alot of times not help your endo because it goes through the area your excision was done to clean up.  But you can only do what you can do on that, but just make sure you voice those concerns to your doctor.

I am not in California, but did Dr.  Cook do your surgery? Maybe calling his office as an endo specialist and asking about an OBGYN in the area would help you.

Feel free to email me if you have questions or concerns. Nicole :) davidandnicole@sunflower.com

Also, I love babycenter.com if you haven't registered there.  The message boards are great!
