Re: high estrogen

There is a link between high amounts of estrogen and endometriosis. Estrogen can definitely make the endometriosis worse.  Implants tend to 'bloom' in the presence of estrogen. It is a shame that your doctor is not willing to help! If you only have one ovary and a very high level of estrogen, there seems to be a definite problem! Is there any way you can find another doctor to help? An endometriosis expert would be ideal, but perhaps another doctor, like a pelvic pain specialist, could also help. Have you tried birth control pills? The best thing to do would be to find a doctor knowlegeable in endometriosis to remove the remaining implants.  This might cut down on estrogen production. As for cancer, I would not worry.  However, I would say this: as long as you have your ovary, do not under any circumstances take HRT, replacement estrogen, as it can make the endo worse.
