Re: Am I developing endometriosis at 15?

My daughter had lap surgery at 14yrs old-she had stage 2 endo and has been perfetly fine every since.  She took b/c pills for a while and it helped and the dr said that was one sign that told him she probably does have it-even before the surgery.  If you can find a dr that specializes not only in endo but in teens with endo-like Dr Albee at the CEC in Atlanta-all the better for you. endo can appear different in teens than in adults so it may be important to find a dr who has some experience with teenagers.  My daughter suffered for a year and a half-many misdiagnoses-had to be on homebound study because she couldnt make it thru a day of school.  No dr thought she could have endo at such a young age BUT she did......  Good luck!!
