I did not try Seasonique, but took LoOvral continuously for 9 months.  My doc is an endo specialist and he said his patients have had the best results by taking the pill continously for 6-9 months.  I had no side effects except for some spotting, which was easily solved by taking a few days off from the pill to force a period.  It was also really nice not to have a period every month!
