Re: Endometriosis in c-section scar and anterior abdominal wall

I had a C-Section in September 2008. I started having bleeding from one
side of my C-section scar about 10 weeks post partum. I visited my
OB-GYN, and he said it was just a suture trying to work its way out. I
accepted this diagnosis. At 20 weeks postpartum, I was still having
severe swelling and bleeding in the same area, so I visited another
doctor. She told me it was an ingrown hair and to use hot packs and
neosporin on it. At 31 weeks postpartum, I visited a nurse
practitioner, and she diagnosed me with incisional endometriosis. She
consulted with the OB-GYN who performed the procedure, and he said that
I needed to come see him. At the same time, the nurse practitioner put
me on the new oral contraceptive Yasmin. My first period after starting
this, I still had some swelling and bleeding. My second period on this
drug, I have very little swelling and no bleeding from the incision. My
question is this... Do I still need to visit the OB-GYN? He will
probably tell me there is nothing wrong with me. Also, will this
condition affect my ability to carry another baby?
