Re: Endo and Celiac disease - a link?

It can be hard to get an endoscopy if your blood test comes back
"normal" and doesn't show and celiac. Some doctors will not do an
endoscopy, saying that it is 'not medically necessary'.
So, you may have to fight for it, depending on your doc and your
insurance.
One thing: remember to KEEP EATING gluten, otherwise, the test will not
pick anything up. So don't change your diet while you are going through
these tests, otherwise, you won't get an adequate diagnosis.
If you have a family history of the disease, it should be easier to
"push" for an endoscopy/biopsy.
