Re: hysterctomy for endometriosis

Why are you having your ovaries removed? I can almost understand the
hyst because of the possibility of adenomyosis, but I have never heard
or read of an expert telling you to have your ovaries removed for endo.
In addition, these kinds of doctors that do hysts often recommend taking
estrogen after surgery, which some feel contributes to cancer. Few know
about progesterone, which can help women in how they feel, and in
avoiding cancer (you can google it, and also check out sites like
power-surge.com)
Is he going to have a bowel doc in there?
Good luck, all the things you say don't resound with things I've read,
and most docs will tell you to get a 2nd opinion, especially for such a
drastic life changing situation. Has he talked to about possible
depression post-op?
You might go to erc.activboard.com/ , google it if it doesn't show
up...there are some stories there, also on hystersisters
You might also ask questions there of a nurse that had surgery with Dr
Redwine, after a hyst did not fix her pain issues....
