Debbie,
I had my endoscopy and biopsy Friday and sure enough, I have Celiac. I'm
so relieved it's not IBS. At least w/ Celiac, you can control it by
adopting a gluten free diet, which I've already started to do
immediately following my diagnosis on Friday.
My mother who has suffered from IBS for approx. 27 years is going to
get tested for Celiac. Her doc did the blood tests 27 years ago when
she first displayed symptoms but the markers are so much better now she
has decided to get re-tested.
