hysterctomy for endometriosis

Has anyone had a total hysterectomy (uterus, overies, tubes removed) and had good results reducing pain from endometiosis? I have had it for years and tried everything but removal. Scheduled to have surgery next week. I am nervous about it not working and being just in the same amount of pain. Surgery is being performed by a pelvic pain expert at a teaching hospital. I am worried that everything will be removed and I will be left with immediate menapause symptoms and the pain will still remain. Tried hormones, injections, laproscopy, pelvic pain physical therapy, biofeedback. And the pain is worse...down leg, in rectum, SI joint and hip.
