a lap is the way they do the surgery, and it can be done for things
other than endo - i think they do gastric bypass that way...they make
several small incision in the abdomen, instead of a large cut

>Hello I had the laproscopy surg done about 6 years ago and from what I am told it is the only way to dignois endo. But I am so glad that I had it done I was in a tremndous amount of pain before and they were able to help with my pain. The doc went in and clean it up and I was then told that I had the choice of getting preg or taking a shot we chose to get preg it did take about 6 months to get preg but I soon was pre with a little girl, my enod clear up for about two years and i had to make the same choice again I then became preg after 8mo of trying to have my son and then a year after wards I had my tubes tied so now here I am two in half years after I had my son and now I am being told that I have to have the surgery again or have the Lupron shot. I can say that after I had children my pain went away for about two years each time. If I had to do it over again I would change anything the only problem that I am dealing with now is if I should have the Lupron Depot shot. Good luck with your surgery you will do fine and you will be glad you had it done.
