I would be interested to hear what your doctor might say about this prospect. My doctor was hearing none of it. He says endo will not travel to such strange areas. I know differently. I also had/have stabbing pains in my neck. I also have this funky feeling over my stomach, kinda like pressure. Another endo woman told me that it might be a referred pain or endo on a nerve. Who knows what the heck is going on. I just had my first lap on the 18th of June. Still recovering so I really don't know what to expect from my next period. Should be interesting. Sorry that I don't have any suggestions regarding the birth control until your surgery. Good luck to you! I know it's scary. You might want to check out "Endometriosis, Healing Through Nutrition", by Dian Shepperson. I just purchased the book and it appears to be a great read with lots of suggestions. Let me know how you are doing! I thought that I was the only one with these "strange placed pains". >Shannon > >-----Original Message----- >From: Karin [SMTP:anonymous@obgyn.net >Sent: Friday, June 25, 1999 9:16 PM >To: Multiple recipients of list ENDO >Subject: Lung/diaphram endo and the pill? > >Hi all, > >I've been having a lot of symptoms that make me think that I might have >lung and/or diaphram endo: > >--Right shoulder pain on the upper inside of my shoulder that feels like >I've pulled a muscle > >--Intermittent pain right below my right breast; sometimes the area >feels uncomfortable when I breathe in. It has progressed into my shoulder, chest and neck.... I now have limited use of my right arm. I have lost range of motion- it almost feel like I have a torn rotator cuff. I get short of breath often... as my period gets closer, the pain in my arm is 24/7 and at about 8 on a scale of 1-10. the pain is stabbing sharp numbing stinging tingly crampy and just all around uncofortable. grrrrrrrr
