Re: Post Op dizzinessFrom: Scarlett (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Apr 25 19:23:43 2009
It is very common to feel dizzy and light headed after surgery. All the drugs(before, during and after) given to you, blood loss, low blood sugar, fatigue and mild dehydration can all cause this feeling. I had a laparoscopic excison of endo plus a mini laparotomy to excise an abdominal wall endometrioma on March 16 and was feeling dizzy and light headed for a good two weeks, and still feel that way on and off now if I over do it. It certainly is a good idea to call your doctor and ask her about it if you are concerned, but it is a very common side effect of anaesthesia and surgery. Hope you heal fast and feel better soon! ~s
